This Monthly Methods case study on analysing an interview transcript offers a step by step guide to this tricky endeavour along with a free exemplar.
This dataset illustrates an approach to conducting a voice-centred relational method of data analysis. The data are provided by Dr. Suzanne O’Keeffe from Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick, Ireland, and are taken from a qualitative study consisting of three rounds of individual interviews with male primary teachers between 2014 and 2016. The example will be most useful for qualitative researchers interested in feminist and post-structural approaches to interviewing and data analysis. The dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide.
